The Unstoppable Gospel

The Challenge of God’s Commission

The Unstoppable Gospel

Colossians 1:5-6 (ESV)

"Because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth."

Starting Prayer

Heavenly Father, as I reflect on Colossians 1:5-6, guide me to understand the power and impact of the Gospel. Grant me the courage to embrace the challenge of spreading Your truth to the whole world. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Background

In Colossians 1, the Apostle Paul writes to the believers in Colossae, emphasizing the unstoppable nature of the Gospel. The early Christians embraced the challenge of spreading the good news, and as a result, the Gospel bore fruit and increased throughout the whole world.

Be Encouraged

Consider Romans 1:16:

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."

Reflect on Matthew 28:19-20:

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."

Imagine a ripple effect, starting from your community and spreading to the whole world, as you actively engage in sharing the Gospel. The unstoppable nature of the Gospel transforms lives globally.

You still have the opportunity to give your life to Christ and embrace the challenge of God's commission. Remember that you need to repent and be truly baptised. Be inspired to contribute to the global mission of spreading the Gospel.

Concluding Prayer

Lord, thank you for the unstoppable nature of the Gospel. May I be a faithful messenger, sharing Your truth with the world. In Jesus' name. Amen.

God bless you.
