Enduring for Christ's Sake

Matthew 10:22 (KJV) "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved."

Background

In Matthew 10, Jesus is commissioning His disciples to go out and proclaim the Gospel. He warns them about the challenges they will face, including persecution and hatred for His name's sake. In this verse, He emphasizes the importance of enduring to the end, assuring them that those who endure will ultimately be saved.

Following Jesus often comes with its share of trials and tribulations. There may be times when the world opposes you because of your faith in Christ. But take heart, for Christ Himself foretold this. However, remember that the destination is salvation, eternal life with our Saviour. The difficulties we face in this world are temporary, but the reward of salvation is eternal. So, endure with unwavering faith, knowing that your faithfulness is a testimony to the enduring love and grace of our Lord.
