Come, Let Us Worship

The Worship of God’s People

Come, Let Us Worship"*

Psalm 95:1-2 (ESV)
"Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!"
Starting Prayer
Dear Lord, as I approach Your presence today, I seek Your wisdom and understanding regarding the theme of worship. Guide me to comprehend the essence of true worship, and may Your Spirit enlighten my heart. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Background
Psalm 95 is a call to worship and praise, inviting believers to approach God with joyful hearts and thankful spirits. The psalmist urges God's people to sing praises to Him, acknowledging His sovereignty as the rock of their salvation. Today's verses emphasize the joy and gratitude with which believers should enter into God's presence, recognizing His goodness and faithfulness. This week's theme centers on the worship of God's people, highlighting the importance of heartfelt adoration and praise in the life of every believer.
Be Encouraged
True worship is not merely a ritual or obligation but a genuine expression of love and reverence for God. Just as Psalm 95:1-2 encourages us, worship should flow from hearts filled with gratitude and joy for God's salvation. Whether through singing, praying, or serving others, every aspect of our lives can become an act of worship when done with sincerity and devotion. Let us approach God's presence with confidence, knowing that He delights in the praises of His people.
Furthermore, as we engage in worship, we are reminded of God's faithfulness and goodness throughout history. He is the rock of our salvation, unchanging and steadfast in His love for us. As we reflect on His past faithfulness, we are encouraged to trust Him with our present circumstances and future uncertainties. Let us draw near to God with confidence, knowing that He hears our prayers and delights in our worship.
Additional Verses
- Psalm 100:2 (ESV) - "Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!"
- Hebrews 12:28 (ESV) - "Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe."
Invitation
I invite you to join me in the joyful act of worship today. Let us come together with thankful hearts, lifting our voices in praise to the God who has saved us. If you have not yet experienced the salvation found in Jesus Christ, I urge you to surrender your life to Him today and discover the true joy of worshiping the rock of your salvation.
Concluding Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the privilege of worshiping You today. May our songs of praise and expressions of gratitude bring joy to Your heart. Help us to worship You in spirit and in truth, with sincerity and devotion. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May God bless your day.
