Lord, as I come before you today, I seek insight into the majesty and holiness of Your name. Help me understand the greatness of Your character and how it impacts my life. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Background

Psalm 99 is a psalm of praise that exalts the Lord's sovereignty and holiness. It emphasizes His reign over all nations and His righteousness. Verse 3 specifically calls for praise to His great and awesome name, declaring His holiness.

Be Encouraged

The majesty of God's name calls us to reverence and worship. Just as the psalmist exhorts, we are to praise His great and awesome name. This goes beyond mere acknowledgment; it is a recognition of His holiness and sovereignty over all creation. When we lift up His name in praise, we align ourselves with His will and acknowledge His greatness.

In our daily lives, we can honor the holiness of God's name by living in obedience to His Word and reflecting His character to the world. As we strive to follow His commands and walk in His ways, we testify to His greatness and bring glory to His name.
