Worthy is the Lamb

The Holiness of God’s Name

Worthy is the Lamb

Revelation 15:4

"Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."

Starting Prayer

Dear Lord, as I approach You in prayer today, I seek Your guidance and understanding. Grant me insight into the profound truth of Your worthiness as revealed in Revelation 15:4. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Background

Revelation 15 presents a vision of heavenly worship, where John sees those who have conquered the beast standing beside the sea of glass, singing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. The selected verse, Revelation 15:4, highlights the theme of worship and ascribes praise to God for His holiness and righteous acts. It emphasizes the universal acknowledgment of God's worthiness to be worshipped by all nations.

Be Encouraged

The scene depicted in Revelation 15:4 reminds us of the ultimate purpose of creation: to glorify God and worship Him for His holiness and righteousness. As believers, we are called to recognize and honor the worthiness of God in our lives through our worship, obedience, and service. Just as the heavenly beings declare God's worthiness, we too should offer Him the reverence and adoration He deserves.

Moreover, the acknowledgment of God's worthiness should inspire us to live lives that reflect His glory and righteousness. We are called to demonstrate His love and grace to the world around us, inviting others to join us in worshipping the one true God. Let us embrace our role as ambassadors of Christ, proclaiming His worthiness to all nations.

Additional Verses

- Psalm 86:9 (ESV) - "All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name."

- Philippians 2:9-11 (ESV) - "Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Invitation

I invite you to join me in acknowledging the worthiness of God and offering Him our worship and praise. Let us live lives that glorify His name and reflect His righteousness to the world. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, I urge you to do so today and experience the joy of worshipping the Lamb who was slain for our sins.

Concluding Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for revealing Your worthiness to us through Your Word. Help us to worship You in spirit and in truth, recognizing Your holiness and righteousness. May our lives bring glory and honor to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May God bless your day.
