Proclaiming His Name

The Call of God’s Mission

Proclaiming His Name

Romans 10:14-15 (ESV)
"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'"

Starting Prayer
Heavenly Father, as I explore Romans 10:14-15, I pray for insight and a heart passionate about proclaiming Your name. May I understand the importance of sharing the good news and be inspired to actively engage in Your mission. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Background
Romans 10 emphasizes the significance of proclaiming the Gospel. The passage underscores the vital chain of events: belief follows hearing, and hearing requires preaching. Paul, in addressing the Romans, highlights the beauty of those who bring the good news, emphasizing the role of those who are sent.

Be Encouraged
In Romans 10:14-15, we discover the interconnectedness of faith and proclamation. The mission involves actively sharing the good news, and the beauty lies in the willingness to go and preach.

Consider Acts 8:30-31:
"So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, 'Do you understand what you are reading?' And he said, 'How can I unless someone guides me?' And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him."

Reflect on Matthew 9:37-38:
"Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.'"

Picture a friend who has never heard the Gospel. Imagine sharing the good news with them, being the messenger that opens the door to belief.

Today's title, "Proclaiming His Name," emphasizes the active role believers play in spreading the Gospel.

Without further delay, please surrender your life to Christ to be saved. Share this message with others to inspire them to join in proclaiming His name.

Concluding Prayer
Lord, I am grateful for the privilege of proclaiming Your name. Guide me in sharing the good news with others. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Please share your thoughts in the comments.

God bless you
