The Supreme Revelation of God's Son
The Gift of God’s Son
The Supreme Revelation of God's Son
Hebrews 1:1-2 (ESV)
"Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days, he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world."
Starting Prayer
Dear Lord, as I delve into Your Word today, grant me insight into the supreme revelation of Your Son. May my heart be open to receive the depth of this truth. Amen.
Background
The opening verses of Hebrews establish the superiority of God's final revelation through His Son. The author emphasizes that God, who spoke through prophets in the past, now speaks directly through Jesus Christ. The Son is appointed heir of all things and the agent of creation, underscoring His divine nature and authority.
Be Encouraged
Consider John 1:14:
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."
Reflect on Colossians 1:15:
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation."
Today, be encouraged by the supreme revelation of God's Son, Jesus Christ. Recognize His role as the ultimate expression of God's love and wisdom. As we conclude this week's theme, invite others to wholly give their lives to Christ for salvation while sharing this message.
Concluding Prayer
Gracious Father, I am grateful for the supreme revelation of Your Son. As I begin this day, may I carry the awareness of His divine authority and love. In Jesus' name, amen.
Warm regards,
Theodore J. Quist
