No. 334 - Declaring God’s Mighty Acts

The Praise of God’s Glory

Declaring God’s Mighty Acts

Psalm 145:10-12

"All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, And Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power, To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom."

Starting Prayer

Dear Lord, as I meditate on Your Word today, open my heart to understand the power of declaring Your mighty acts and the glory of Your kingdom. Guide me in living a life that honours You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Background

Psalm 145 is a song of praise by King David, highlighting the greatness of God. This psalm is a celebration of God’s goodness, mercy, and mighty works. The selected verses, Psalm 145:10-12, focus on how all of creation praises the Lord and how His people are called to declare His mighty acts and the glory of His kingdom to others.

Be Encouraged

As believers, we have the privilege of being witnesses to God’s mighty acts. The world around us constantly testifies to His power and majesty, but it is our role to speak of His glory and to share the wonders of His kingdom with others. When we share testimonies of God’s goodness in our lives, we encourage others to trust in Him and acknowledge His greatness.

We are also reminded that our lives should be a reflection of God’s kingdom. When we live in a way that honours God, we become living testimonies of His power and grace. Our actions and words can make a powerful impact on those around us, leading them to see the glorious majesty of God’s kingdom. Let us be diligent in speaking of God’s goodness and sharing His love with others.

Application

To further enrich our understanding of declaring God’s mighty acts, consider these verses: "Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day." (Psalm 96:2), and "I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You." (Psalm 22:22). These scriptures encourage us to boldly proclaim God’s works and share His goodness with those around us.

Invitation

If you have not yet committed your life to Christ, today is the perfect time to begin declaring the mighty acts of God in your life. Visit a nearby Church of Christ, where you can be assisted in obeying the gospel of Christ through faith (Hebrews 11:6), repentance from sin (Acts 2:38; 17:30-31), and baptism for the forgiveness of all past sins and your salvation (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38). The Lord will add you to His church, where you will continue to learn more about God and put into practice Christ's commandments (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:47). Let this meditation inspire you to start living a life that proclaims God’s glory. Share this message with your loved ones, and encourage them to do the same.

Concluding Prayer

Lord, I thank You for the privilege of declaring Your mighty acts and sharing the glory of Your kingdom with others. Help me to live a life that honours You and encourages others to do the same. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

May the Lord bless your day.
